Nike Elite Sprint Campers To Race At Pre Classic Sunday By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Fifteen of the top high school sprinters in North America arrived at the Marriott in San Mateo, Calif. on Friday to begin the three-day Nike Elite Sprint Camp that will include races at Sunday's Prefontaine Classic. Well-known names such at Tyrese Cooper and Briana Williams are part of this year's group, although Williams said she will be sitting out Sunday's race. The recent high school record-breaker in the 100 meters is getting ready for a busy summer that will include the NACAC Championships July 5-7 in Mexico City. The athletes will be decked out in Nike gear and get a chance to rub shoulders with pros this weekend, while learning from some of the best coaches in the business. On Sunday at Stanford, seven boys and seven girls will lineup to compete in the 100-meter dashes near the start of the afternoon program. Two of the sprinters arrived from Ontario, Canada -- Myles Misener-Daley and Makenzy Pierre-Webster -- with tales of celebrating the Toronto Raptors' recent NBA Championship. Both athletes are headed to UCLA in the fall. DYESTAT INTERVIEWS | NIKE ELITE CAMP OFFICIAL SITE 2019 Nike Elite Sprint Camp Boys - Girls - |
